We approve of the preamble and all fifteen articles set forth herein for our clear monks to observe in a unified and regulated manner, so that they will be able to adhere to the vows imposed on them.
The breach of any of these articles will not be considered a sin, unless the matter is grave and particularly if it causes harm to the brother monks or to others.
We, therefore, by virtue of our apostolic authority and after consultation with our honorable brothers, the bishops, confirm these rules and exhort the monks to abide by them so that they may be granted eternal life. Issued on June 18, 1700".
